Laura’s parents have a beautiful pool in their backyard. It’s been an incredibly warm summer. An excellent summer for swimming.
Ann: Ahhhh! My hair is turning green!
You see, Laura’s Mom, Ann has fair, blonde hair. And Ann has been spending a lot of time in the pool this summer.
Laura and I go over to inspect. Sure enough the tips of Ann’s hair are tinted algae green from the pool’s chlorine.
Laura: I’m sure that if you started wearing a swim cap, that’d fix the problem.
Ann: A swim cap! I can’t do that! I’d look stupid.

Her logic perplexes me.
It seems to me that looking kind of stupid in private is far less stupid than looking really stupid (read: green haired) in public.
But I’m a guy, and a brunette, so what do I know!

There’s a shampoo that you can get that will take care of that, I used it when I was on the swim team in high school.
