Every now and then I become briefly inspired to hit the gym and bulk up a bit. When this urge strikes I’ll do a few sit ups, some pushups, a half dozen chin ups, and maybe even a couple regimens of bicep curls and bench presses. I generally keep this up for a few weeks or maybe a month, but eventually, inevitably, the urge fades, the fun wears off, and I stop.
During my last set of dumbbell curls a few weeks ago, it became clearly apparent why I dislike lifting weights and why I’m always inclined to give it up…
They make those weights too, dang, heavy!
