The Phantom Zester

Laura and I recently registered for wedding gifts. Laura let me hold the scanner and with accuracy and precision we scoured the store and added item after item to our wish list. The experience wasn’t nearly as painful as I thought it would be. The worst part of the whole ordeal wasn’t the time spent in the store, but the aftermath that’s now occurring at home.

More than once I’ve found myself tossing around my kitchen drawers, searching for that new gadget that my brain tells me is already mine.

Of course simply scanning an item does not make it magically appear in the cupboard… yet.

You do know that now you will Either get 15 or so zesters as the perfect gift (Eureka!) Or No Zesters as all your friends and family will be thinking that everyone else will have got you The Zester, after reading this!! – or, the clincher, that there would be no need, because you will certainly have bought yourself one long before Sept 10! Who could go so long without a zester, for pete’s sake!?! (Don’t count on a zester from us, that’s for sure! just sayin’…)

Aunt Ruth Anne thanks for the philosophically zesty note.
