Standing the shadow of the U.S. mint in Philadelphia, I learned something new. Did you know that all U.S. coins are minted in only two cities? If you look at the face side of a coin, you’ll find a letter in the four o’clock position and that letter will either be a P or a D.
The P, as you’ve probably assumed by now stands for Philadelphia.
The D is be a little tougher….Denver.
It’s always nice to learn something new.

Actually I’ve known this for years and years. It was taught at the knee of a certain uncle who mostly told YOU hunting stories.
He really knows lots of other stuff 🙂
Uncle Reid (coin collector from wayyy back) has known this “since Collie was a pup”.
In the old days the mint is San Francisco also produced coins, they had an “s”
i know my coins – at least i did in the past.
All good stuff to know! I figured the three of you would have certainly already known this interesting little fact!
