Maybe it’s the horsehair, maybe it’s the texture, or maybe it’s the smell of her makeup in the bristles. Whatever her reason, Indie loves to chew on Laura’s makeup brushes. On more than a dozen occasions I’ve walked into the bedroom to see Indie, paws crossed around a brush, nibbling, with a guilty expression on her face. She just can’t help herself.
Each time Indie chews up another one, Laura, a little bit frustrated, goes to the store to replace her lost brush.
I can remember the day, about three years ago, when Indie got ahold of her first brush. I scolded Indie and told Laura that she ought to put her makeup up higher, somewhere where Indie can’t reach it.
But she hasn’t.
So I’m left with nothing to say, except, fool you once, shame on Indie. Fool you twice, shame on you. Fool you thirty times, well….
