Thirty one. It tends to be a bit of a forgotten birthday.
A decade ago, 21 was a big deal. A year ago, “the big 3-0” was a big deal too.
But 31, much like 41, 51 and the other “ty-ones” is like the forgotten middle child.
Forgotten, that is, until people learn that this is in fact a special birthday. Being born on March 1st (3-1) gives birthday 3-1 something rare and magical. It turns, “Oh, you’re just 31, into whoa, 3-1 on 3-1. That is a big one!”
It was a big one indeed.
