Minnesota really is a beautiful, natural and wild state. But their winter’s are too long and their summers, while temperate, are far too short. This leaves Minnesota with a serious problem, lots of road and bridge maintenance to accomplish in a short window. As a result, when driving through Minnesota in June, July and August you’ll see almost as many orange pylons as you will lane-dividing stripes on the highway.
In the midst of our tenth bout of road construction, Ed quoted something he’d once read in the Urban Dictionary, “Minnesota has four unique seasons – Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter, and Road Construction.”
True dat.
