We’re watching the Academy Awards. An actor wins. He thanks his director, his cast mates, the studio, the writers. And as the music comes up he hurriedly thanks his wife before being escorted off the stage.
Laura: If you ever win a big award, don’t save my thank you for the end – it comes across as a rushed afterthought. Instead, please recognize me within the first three people you thank.
Me: You got it, honey.
