When stalling bedtime turns into something deeper and sweeter…
Finn like’s to scratch his hand on my beard while I read him bedtime stories.
Finn: Daddy, when I grow up, I’m going to grow a beard just like you.
Me: Sounds like a plan, Finny.
Finn: It feels like little bugs on my hand.
Next he holds my hand and spins my wedding ring.
Finn: When I grow up I’m going to get married and wear a ring just like you.
Me: Do you like the ring?
Finn: Yep, I want to marry somebody like Mommy when I’m big.
Me: I love you, pal.
Finn: Oh silly Daddy, I love you too.
