Coworker: In the small town where my family lives, the only place to buy anything good is at the Walgreen’s on Main Street. I decided that this is the year to get my nieces Walgreen’s giftcards so that they can pick out their own presents. Last week I was at the pharmacy down the street from my house and while I was checking out, I asked the cashier if they sold giftcards.
Cashier: Yeah. What kind?
Coworker: Walgreen’s.
Cashier: (with a nasty look and a sarcastic tone) No.
Me: That was rude.
Coworker: I know!
Coworker: I was kind of mad at the kid, until I went back the next day to pick up my prescription… and realized I was at a CVS.
