Every night I read.
I look forward to that 20 minutes of peace and introversion throughout the bustle of the day. The trick to being excited to read, is to leave yourself at a point in the story where you can’t wait to turn to the next page and see what’s coming. It’s a little like Christmas, with that familiar feeling of anticipation and wonderment regarding what the next package will hold.
I read a blog once a week called Tomato Transplants. My journalist cousin Dave and his family live in Maritime Canada and he’s a prolific (and terrific) storyteller. His stories and rhetoric have inspired a lot of my own content and I’m willing to bet that if you like Picture This Life, you’ll love Tomato Transplants.
So, find a little time, and when you do, unwrap a few of Dave’s stories.
If I were you, I’d start here.

Well, that took my lousy day and made it much better. Thank-you very much. What a nice thing to say. I enjoy your blog very much, too.
Thanks Dave. Every time I see that soup picture I get hungry for a side of grilled cheese sandwich with some nice Leamington ketchup.
