Animals do funny things in the name of protecting their toys. When Indie gets tired of chewing a rawhide, she’ll put it in the middle of her plush dog bed and push it down with her muzzle. She’ll then use her snout in an attempt to shovel the bedding up and over the bone. She’ll work on it for a few moments and then slowly turn to peek at me to ensure I wasn’t watching her hide it. Not convinced that it’s safe, she’ll continue to pile what is actually the air around her bed atop her bone.
I was reminded of this odd and possessive behavior a few days ago when a friend sent me this you tube video.
That leg just never seems to get the hint.
