On Sunday we ate the best sweet corn of the season.
On Monday I pulled the last two cobs from the fridge, put them on a plate and began to put them into the microwave. Incredulously, Laura stopped me and asked, “You’re going to reheat it in the microwave? Aren’t you afraid it’ll start to pop.”
“Wrong kind of corn sweetie,” I respond with a smile.

I didn’t mention that instead of butter we used bacon fat. You’ve got to try it sometime Eddie. Mmm. Bacon.
