Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about home, about Canada.
We ate breakfast for dinner last week and I poured maple syrup on my pancakes.
The maple keys that helicopter from the tree in the backyard, spin to earth just like they did from our maples in the yard where I grew up.
The Toronto Maple Leafs continue their tradition of mediocrity and of failing to make the NHL playoffs, but by the looks of things in spring training, the Jays, new logos and all, might make a run for the post-season this year.
But I’m not the only one thinking of Canada these days. Laura bought and potted 40 petunias last weekend. Each of them red or white.

Aaron, I lived in the states for 27 years, and never did I really feel at home till I moved back to CANADA! Love Laura’s petunias.
27 years and you eventually moved back home. So what you’re saying is that there’s still hope for a homecoming. I love Laura’s petunias too.
