Laura and I don’t argue much, but when we do, we’ve figured out our own ways of ending the conversation.
If Laura makes a good point, or we’ve reached a suitable comprise, I say, “Good point, hon.”
If I, on the other hand, state my case and my lovely wife hasn’t got a suitable retort, she yields and ends the conversation by smiling and telling me… “You shut your mouth when you’re talking to me.”
And I do.
