After four years of friendship at Graceland, T-Rich and I spent two more years together carpooling from Des Moines to Ames everyday during our MBA. That foundation supports a unique friendship that’s managed to span both time and distance.
The other night, Laura and I went to his younger brother’s wedding. In the seven years since we graduated, I think this is only the fourth time T-Rich and I have seen each other. He lives in Arizona with his wife. He’s a Dad with a second on the way. He just bought a new house. A lot has changed since we graduated in 2005. But then again, he’s still quick with a smile, a friendly laugh and a ‘remember the time’ story.
So while a lot has changed, just like it always is when we see each other, it’s like nothing’s changed at all.
