His compound bow hung from one beam. A tree harness and backpack from two others. And straddling a fourth beam on his basement ceiling hung the antlers of a decent Kansas 10-point whitetail deer.
Chris: Took him at 9-yards with my bow on the day before Thanksgiving last year.
He pulled down the rack and passed it over for me to see. I noticed an abnormal hole the size of a pencil through the base of one of the antlers.
Me: I wonder how he got this hole in his antler?
Chris: I don’t know. I didn’t get the chance to ask him.
