The United States is always near the top of the metal standings in the Summer Olympics, and as such it’s fun to cheer for a winner. But as good as the U.S. is, Canada just isn’t. This point came into clarity this weekend as I watched the Olympics in the evenings with my friends in Colorado.
It was the final men’s swim that the U.S. won. Canada finished eighth out of eight.
Lee: What happened to the Canadian, Double AA?
Me: He lost.
Lee: He didn’t just lose. He finished last.
Me: What do you expect? We only have water up there for a few months each year. Freeze that pool and we’ll see who win’s the race.

Ohhhhh Cana-duh!
I almost didn’t approve this comment. Ohhhh Cana-doh! Would have been more appropriate. 🙂
