Poke the Dots

While Finn is an active, curious two-and-a-half year old, Gray is still a limited-mobility six month old. In the last six months, we’ve probably told Finn 1,000 times to be careful around her, to not step on her, to not touch her face, and not to hug her too tight. But he loves interacting with her and showing her affection, and, as it turns out, two-and-a-half year olds are masters of negotiation (or manipulation). Here’s the latest example…

Finn: What are those circles on Gray-Gray’s shirt, Mommy?

Laura: Those are called polka dots.

Finn: Polka dots?

Laura: Yep.

Finn: Can I poke the dots?
