The week before Christmas we met some friends and their kids for dinner on the Plaza followed by a Christmas light trolley ride that departed from Union Station.
As we walked out of the festively decorated landmark and boarded the white trolley, Finn’s mitten-clad hand held mine. He tugged at my arm.
Finn: Daddy, I’ve never been on a trolley ride before.
Me: Neither have I, Finny.
Finn: Well, I have been on one in my dreams. I guess that makes this a dream come true!
Me: That is so cool. I bet we’re going to see a million Christmas lights.
Finn: I bet we see eleventy million.
Me: I love you, pal.
Finn: Love you too, Daddy.
