When they designed the office I work in, they must have had a sense of humor about the layout of the bathrooms. On the main floor the first set of bathrooms has the women’s on the West and the men’s to the East. But just a few hundred feet further down the corridor, the gender direction is reversed.
Naturally if you’re in the habit of using one set of bathooms, it can be very easy to stroll into the wrong gender’s facility in the other set of bathrooms.
I was getting a drink at the fountain last week when I looked up to see a blushy-cheeked young man hastily retreating from the women’s bathroom.
He avoided eye contact with me.
Me: Oops.
Him: (bashfully) Big oops!
