Laura has done some volunteer work in the past with the Big Brothers Big Sisters, and from what she tells me she’s interested in getting involved again. The other day she explained some of the jargon to me. Apparently when you’re partnered up with a boy or girl they become your ‘little’ and correspondingly, you become their ‘big.’
Since she’s not currently volunteering, she’s little-less and thus she’s adopted Indie as her little.
Last weekend we were leaving my house for some Saturday afternoon errands. Laura looked back to see Indie dejectedly peeking her head through the curtains and said to me, “Ohhh, look at Indie. She’s sad we’re leaving and you just know she’s thinking, where are you going this time bigs?!?!”
