At a work dinner a few weeks ago, a half dozen of us sat around the table and talked over steaks. The conversation wandered around and found its way onto the topic of television programs. It all started with a discussion around which shows their kids liked watching, and then morphed onto the topic of which shows my coworkers enjoyed watching with their children.
Matt, the bodybuilder, was quick to admit that he loved watching Little House on the Prairie with his young children. Pat chimed in in agreement. So did Joanne.
“Do you like Little House on the Prairie, Aaron?” someone asked.
“As much as the next guy, but probably not quite as much at Matt,” I responded. ” But where I’m from in Kansas, we don’t call it Little House on the Prairie. It’s too hard to say. Since we live in little houses on the prairie, we simply call it, Home.”
